MF Update: Impact of fall in share price of Page Industries

The consumption sector which was a darling of many investors and fund managers just a few quarters ago is showing signs of decline. Even the most respected names are witnessing a decline in their financial performance. The latest being the Page Industries, the licensee of Jockey International and Speedo in India. The company saw a marginal increase in its revenue, however, its net profit declined by 20.1 per cent on a yearly basis to Rs. 75 crore in its latest quarter. Moreover, the future also does not look very encouraging and hence many brokerage firms have downgraded the stock’s performance.

On Monday, the stock of Page Industries declined by 11 per cent. There are many mutual fund schemes that are holding this stock in their portfolio, of which following funds will be impacted the most. All the figures are for the portfolio at the end of April 2019.
