L&T starts the day in green

L&T Construction announced that its power transmission and distribution business has received a new order in India as well as overseas. Reacting to the news, the stock of Larsen & Toubro was trading in positive during Tuesday’s early morning trading session.

The company has received a turnkey order in Bangladesh for designing, supplying, installing as well as for commissioning of power transmission infrastructure for 800 MW Rupsha Power Plant. Additionally, the company also received an order to build 220kV substations in Nepal. The order bagged in Saudi Arabia pertains to establishing 380kV and 230kV transmission line corridors. As for the domestic business, L&T construction has got an order for the designing and construction of 50 MW solar PhotoVoltaic (PV) plant located in Tamil Nadu. The company continues to receive additional orders for its domestic business. Since the value of the projects falls between Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,500 crore, the company classifies these as significant projects for its business.

Larsen & Toubro is a multinational company engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services. It operates in around 30 countries worldwide.

On Tuesday, during the early morning trading session, the stock of Larsen & Toubro was Rs 1,186.50, up by 1.67 per cent or Rs 19.50 per share. The 52-week high is Rs 1,606.70 and 52-week low is Rs 1,150.55 on BSE.
