L&T Construction bags multiple orders across states

L&T’s construction arm has won multiple orders from prestigious clients across different states in India. The orders of upto Rs. 5,000 crore include construction works pertaining to buildings & factories and water & effluent treatment segments.

Under the buildings & factories segment, it has won an order from Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation to construct two 500 bed hospitals at Jamshedpur and Dumka, respectively. Another order under the said segment includes construction of a manufacturing facility in Gujarat.

Another order includes construction of a 108 m tall commercial complex at Raidurgam, Hyderabad which is spread across a built-up area of 3.6 lakh sqm. The project is expected to get completed within 32 months. The scope of project spreads across high street retail frontage, grand retail plaza, recreational activities, landscape areas and amenities like multi-level car parking spaces.

Under the water & effluent treatment segment, the company has bagged 4 orders from the Public Health Engineering Directorate, Government of West Bengal. It has also secured repeat EPC order from Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority for the land pooling schemes for Krishnayapalem and Venkatapalem in Zone 8A of Amaravati City.

Another EPC order is secured from Faridabad Smart City Limited which includes laying of civic infrastructure to landscaping works in Faridabad. A similar type of order is secured from Patna Smart City Limited.

In mid-February, the stock of L&T had dipped as low as Rs. 1,219 which was almost near its 52-week low. However, over the last month it has recovered by ~14 per cent and is trading around Rs. 1,390 levels.
