Lemon Tree Hotels expands presence in West Bengal

Lemon Tree Hotels (LTH), a largest mid-priced hotel sector chain in India announced that company has signed a License Agreement for 80-room hotel at West Bengal.

The hotel is expected to be operational by January, 2023 at Sujalaam Skycity Andal, Durgapur, West Bengal near the Kazi Nazrul airport, under the company’s brand name “Lemon Tree Hotel”. Carnation Hotels Pvt. Limited, the hotel management arm of the company, will be operating and marketing this hotel. This hotel is proposed to have banquet facilities, gym, spa, bar, swimming pool and all day dinner.

Lemon Tree also informed that hotel operating and license agreement for hotel property under development at Shirdi has been terminated mutually with the consent of parties.

Lemon Tree Hotel is a hotel chain company based in India. It is India’s largest hotel chain in mid-priced under hotel sector and 3rd largest overall, in terms of controlling interest in owned and leased rooms, as of 30 June 2017. The company owns and operates 57 hotels, with over 5800 rooms across 34 cities of India.

On Tuesday, the stock of Lemon Tree Hotels opened at Rs. 58.00 per share and made an intraday high and low of Rs. 58.25 and Rs. 55.35, respectively on the BSE. At 11.40 am, the stock was trading at Rs. 56.45 down by 1.57 per cent.
