Larsen and Toubro arm bags Large order, stock in green
Larsen & Toubro’s arm, L&T Construction’s Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business has bagged a large order that is between Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 5,000 from Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation.
The company will be responsible for the design and construction of the Phase - 2 works of the Metro. The project has a tenure of 42 months.
The project includes Package No. 2 and Package No. 3. The Package 2 comprises underground structures i.e tunnels and stations more than 2.76 Km long from Vellara Junction station to Shivajinagar station and three UG Metro Stations at Vellara Junction, M. G. Road and Shivajinagar on the Reach-6 line.
Package 3 involves design and construction of underground structures tunnels and station, more than 2.884 Km long running from Shivajinagar Station to Tannery Road Station and two UG Metro Stations at Cantonment and Pottery Town.
L&T is an Indian multinational company engaged in technology, engineering, construction, manufacturing and financial services.
The shares of L&T on Wednesday opened at Rs. 1,307 against Tuesday’s close of Rs. 1,306.65. At 14:32 hours, the shares were trading at Rs. 1,317.00, up by 0.79 per cent. The stock reached an intraday high of Rs. 1,326.40 and an intraday low of Rs. 1,307 per share on the BSE. The 52-week high stood at Rs. 1,459.10 and the 52-week low was Rs 1,183.40.
Meanwhile, Sensex was quoting 36,634.56 level, up by 0.53 per cent or 192.02 points.
