KPTL successfully commissions Element 1 of Alipurduar Transmission
On Friday, Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Alipurduar Transmission Limited (ATL) has successfully connected 'Element 1' or the Alipurduar to Siliguri Line with the interconnection facilities of the grid.
The project involves the designing, financing, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of 325 kms of 400 KV transmission line, comprising two elements namely, Alipurduar to Siliguri Line (Element 1) and Kishanganj to Darbhanga Line (Element 2).
ATL was set up as a part of inter‐state transmission system for strengthening and transfer of power from new hydroelectric power projects in Bhutan to India and had won the project on a Build, Own, Operate and Manage (BOOM) basis for a period of 35 years from REC Transmission Projects Company Limited (RECTPCL).
KPTL is an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracting company engaged in the manufacturing of metal frameworks or skeletons for construction, such as towers, masts, trusses and bridges.
At 12 pm on Friday, the stock is trading at Rs 443.45, up by 1.03 per cent or Rs 4.50 per share. The 52-week high is recorded at Rs 553.50 and the 52-week low is Rs 327.40 on the BSE.
