KNR bags Rs. 233 crore order
Leading infrastructure development company KNR Construction received order worth Rs. 233 crore for building a flyover in Salem, Tamil Nadu, the company informed in a press release on Tuesday.
The company has been awarded by Superintending Engineer, Highways, C&M Circle, Salem, an order worth of Rs 232.83 crore for construction of a flyover at Ramanathapuram and Sungam Junctions at Km. 7/200 - 10/350 (old NH67, NGM Road, Km 340/0 - 343/150). The given project is to be completed within a period of 24 months from the appointed date.
KNR Construction has seen strong order inflows in the recent past. The company informed about Rs. 920 crore and Rs. 135 crore orders in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, respectively earlier this month. As of December 2018, company’s total order book stood at Rs. 5,516 crore. The EPC order book constitutes to Rs. 1,540 crore of its total order book.
The company is engaged in the development of infrastructure projects primarily, construction of roads, bridges, flyovers and irrigation projects. It provides EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services across the country.
Reacting to the news, the stock touched its intraday high of Rs. 264 per share on BSE. At 12:00 pm, the stock traded at Rs. 262.35 per share, higher by 1.61 per cent.
