Kalpataru Power bags orders worth Rs. 1,235 crore

Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) informed bourses on Thursday that company has secured new orders worth Rs. 1,235 crore.

The order includes infrastructure work for Bangladesh Railways in a consortium wherein Kalpataru’s work order is worth Rs. 553 crore. A second order is for transmission line and substation in Tajikistan and India worth Rs. 346 crore. Another order worth Rs. 185 crore is for design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of railway electrification, signalling and associated civil works for RVNL. The company also received an order worth Rs. 151 crore including laying of pipeline and associated works from Andhra Pradesh Gas Distribution Corporation.

As on March 31, 2018, the company holds order book of Rs. 2,000 crore and addition of these orders would provide good revenue visibility in the coming quarters.

Kalpataru Power Transmission is involved in the business of manufacture of metal frameworks or skeletons for construction and parts thereof such as towers, masts, trusses, bridges etc. Presently, the company is executing several contracts in India, Africa, Middle East, CIS, SAARC and Far East.

With this development, the stock of Kalpataru rose in the early morning session by almost 5 per cent to touch day's high of Rs. 407.8. However, later it cools down and at 14.40 hours, the stock was trading at Rs. 393.8, up by 1.4 per cent.
