Inox Wind rises after securing 150 MW order from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited.

Inox Wind Ltd, a wind energy service provider and a subsidiary of Inox Group, announced that it has secured a 150 MW turnkey wind power project order from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited.

While the scheduled commercial operation date (SCOD) is by April 2023, the project execution will be done on a turnkey basis at the Dayapar site, Kutch District in the state of Gujarat.

As per the deal, Inox Wind shall supply and install Wind Turbine Generators that have a capacity of DF 113/92 - 2.0 MW along with rotor diameter and a hub height of 113 metres and 92 metres respectively. Moreover, the commissioning of common infrastructure facilities like the 220 kV Pooling Substation at Dayapar and the Extra High Voltage Transmission line has already been done. Owing to this, the project will be executed on a plug and play basis with a shorter gestation period.

Furthermore, Inox Wind shall also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) for the lifetime of the project. This will result in addition to its multi gigawatt O&M fleet and enable it to grow the overall profitability.

Owing to this development, at 12.09 pm, the share price of Inox Wind Ltd was trading at Rs 137.90, which was an increase of 3.18 per cent from the previous week’s closing price of Rs 133.65 on BSE.
