HCL launches Microsoft Business Unit for digital transformation

Hindustan Computers Limited (HCL) Technologies, a subsidiary of HCL Enterprise, announced the launch of a dedicated Microsoft Business Unit (MBU) in order to help joint customers by taking initiatives related to digital transformation.

The new section, MBU would be headed by Don Jones, having more than 20 years of experience in Microsoft Corporation and who is also, popularly known for his innovative solutions and go-to-market campaigns with Microsoft. The dedicated business unit will extend Microsoft’s offerings of business applications, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Azure.

Kalyan Kumar, the Corporate Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Information Technology (IT) services of HCL Technologies, in a statement, said that this business unit will combine HCL’s specialised services and global reach with Microsoft’s cloud and business technologies, thereby, making a strong and unique offering for clients.

Adding to this, Judson Althoff, the Executive Vice-President at Microsoft said that by establishing a Microsoft Business Unit, HCL is taking a major step in the long-standing partnership between the two companies.

At 11.33 am on Wednesday, the stock of HCL Technologies Ltd is trading at Rs 593.25, up by 1.53 per cent against its previous close of Rs 584.30. Its 52-week high is recorded at Rs 618.90 and its 52-week low is Rs 469.00 on BSE.
