GPT Infraprojects surge 17 per cent post road-widening order
On Monday, GPT Infraprojects informed the bourses that it has bagged an order worth Rs 114.68 crore by National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation (NHIDCL), Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, New Delhi.
The said contract is for the widening to two lanes from Churachandpur to Tuivai section of NH 102B (package 4A) in Manipur on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode. So far, the company has won orders worth Rs 1,650 crore, including the cumulative order inflow of Rs 114.68 crore, in the current financial year.
GPT Infraprojects Ltd is engaged in the manufacturing of concrete sleepers and also, in the fabrication of steel bridges. It manufactures a range of monoblock and pre-stressed concrete (PSC) sleepers for varied track applications, such as line sleepers, bridge deck sleepers and level crossing as well as switch expansion joint.
The stock has consistently been in an uptrend since the start of the month, rising 42.3 per cent, so far. On Monday, the stock closed at Rs 21.20, up by 17.84 per cent or Rs 3.21 per share. The 52-week high is recorded at Rs 65 and the 52-week low is Rs 13 on BSE.
