Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd is one of the oldest companies catering to personal care products. Under oral care-under this segment, the company offers product like toothpaste, toothbrush, tooth powder and tooth whitening products; personal care-in this segment, it offers products such as skincare, hair care, body wash and shaving creams; and household care-under this segment. On the financial front, the revenues have grown by 4.11 per cent yoy to Rs 1,075.99 crore in Q1FY20 as compared to Rs 1033.55 crore. The PAT has however declined by 10 per cent to Rs 169.11 crore in Q1FY19 as against Rs 189.51 crore posted in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The volume in the stock stood at 4.53 lakh shares (as on Aug 29, 2019), compared to the daily average of 3.39 lakh shares in the last one month. We recommend a BUY.
