MSCI added 48 stocks and deleted 76 stocks from the Asia-Pacific region, with most changes in China. India saw 4 new additions and 1 deletion. Out of the 4 additions, Tata Elxsi Ltd, AU Small Finance Bank Ltd, and Adani Power Ltd rallied in today’s session.
Tata Elxsi Ltd, which is a part of the S&P BSE 200, is amongst the world’s leading providers of design and technology services across industries including Automotive, Media, Communications and Healthcare. The stock has jumped 14.50 per cent and the scrip closed at Rs 7885.
AU Small Finance Bank Ltd which is a part of the S&P BSE 100, is engaged in providing a range of banking and financial services including retail banking, wholesale banking and treasury operations, and other services. The stock rallied 5.22 per cent and the scrip is the scrip closed at Rs 1304.10.
Adani Power Ltd which is a part of the S&P BSE 200, is the largest private thermal power producer in India. The stock surged 4.99 per cent and the scrip closed at Rs 254.65.
