Essel Propack: Q4FY19 revenue grows by 10 per cent, margins intact
Mumbai-based plastic packaging manufacturer, Essel Propack Ltd, posted its Q4FY19 results on Tuesday. The company saw steady growth in revenue and net profits.
Essel Propack's consolidated revenue for fourth quarter of FY19 came in at Rs. 693.67 crore as compared to Rs. 628.40 crore for same quarter last year, registering 10.4 per cent YoY increase. The top line growth was mostly due to higher sales in America region which saw sales growth of 29 per cent over last year. EBITDA for the quarter rose by 13.1 per cent YoY to Rs. 131.57 crore from Rs. 116.33 crore last year with a corresponding margin expansion of 46 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 19 per cent. The net profit for the quarter came in at Rs. 53.26 crore as against Rs. 45.47 crore, showing YoY increase of 17.1 per cent. The PAT margin stood at 7.67 per cent, which expanded by 44 bps.
For FY19, the revenue stood at Rs. 2706.93 crore, which grew from Rs. 2446.42 crore from last year, showing growth of 10.64 per cent. EBITDA for FY19 saw marginal contraction from 19 per cent to 18.43 per cent. The company reported net profit of Rs. 195.39 crore as against Rs. 174.21 crore, a growth of 12.15 per cent on YoY basis for FY19.
The stock on Tuesday closed higher by almost 1 per cent at Rs. 133.10 on the BSE.
