Day’s Movers: These stocks were among the top gainers on February 23

Here are the top gaining stocks in BSE Group ‘A’.

On Thursday, the frontline equity indices declined for the fifth day in a row. The 30-share index, Sensex fell by 0.23 per cent or 139.18 points and closed at 59,605.80 while the 50-share index, Nifty closed at 17,511.25 falling by 0.25 per cent. Some of the shares that surged in today's trade out of BSE Group 'A' were Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd, Shipping Corporation Of India Ltd and Equitas Small Finance Bank Ltd.   

Shares of Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd zoomed 11.93 per cent in today’s session and closed at Rs 982.70 over its previous close of Rs 877.95. Today, the intraday high and low of IR Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd were Rs 999 and Rs 929.95, respectively.   

Another constituent of BSE ‘A’ Group that rallied was Shipping Corporation Of India Ltd, gaining 9.79 per cent in today’s session closing at Rs 126.20. Today, the intraday high and low of Shipping Corporation Of India Ltd was Rs 128.95 and Rs 113.00, respectively.  

Equitas Small Finance Bank Ltd also rallied 8.93 per cent and closed at Rs 69.50 over its previous close of Rs 63.80. Today, the intraday high and low of Equitas Small Finance Bank Ltd were Rs 70.60 and Rs 63.10, respectively.
