COVID-19: NH subsidiary temporarily shuts operation at Cayman
Narayana Hrudayalaya announced that the company’s step-down subsidiary-Health City Cayman Islands Ltd has shut down operations in Cayman Islands (British overseas territory) on a temporary basis due to Coronavirus outbreak.
A chain of multi-speciality hospitals, Narayana Hrudayalaya said in a statement on Wednesday during the market hours, that this step has been taken as a precautionary measure. As per the hospital authorities, after a cruise ship patient started showing symptoms of Coronavirus, 50 per cent of the hospital staff were quarantine, as per the clinical protocol. Also, to prevent it from spreading among other patients, the authorities decided to stop admitting new patients and for the welfare of the residents of Cayman Islands, the hospital has been shut down for two weeks.
Headquartered in Bengaluru and founded in the year 2000, Narayana Hrudayalaya has a network of around 23 hospitals, seven heart centres and only one overseas hospital at Cayman Islands. It operates a chain of multi- speciality, tertiary and primary healthcare centres.
At 12.41 pm on Thursday, the stock of Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd is trading at Rs 237.45, up by 2.26 per cent against its previous close of Rs 232.20. Its 52-week high is Rs 389.00 while, its 52-week low is Rs 184.30 on BSE.
