Buzzing stocks: CRISIL becomes top gainer; Just Dial turns out to be top loser
IT stocks have bucked the market trend and are outperforming the frontline indices.
Bears took charge of the markets soon after the trade kickstarted today. BSE Sensex dipped by more than 500 points to hit a low of 52,506.40 on an intraday basis.
HDFC Bank's earnings results declared over the weekend failed to impress the market and missed analyst expectations. The share price of HDFC Bank has tanked by more than 2 per cent and touched a low of Rs 1,474 on the bourses.
IT stocks have bucked the market trend and are outperforming the frontline indices. Other trending stocks in Group A include the rating agency CRISIL, which has skyrocketed by 13.63 per cent, followed by Honda India Power Products, up by 8.14 per cent. Meanwhile, the rating agency ICRA also gained 7.51 per cent. Dishman Carbogen Amcis, Himatsingka Seide and Mangalam Cement have rallied 7.36 per cent, 7.27 per cent and 6.79 per cent, respectively.
Reliance Retail’s announcement of acquiring a majority stake in Just Dial has impacted the share price of the latter. Just Dial slipped 4.62 per cent while Cyient, PFS, and HDFC AMC turned out to be the top losers, which plunged by 3.62 per cent, 2.91 per cent, and 2.84 per cent, respectively.
