BPL reports strong Q3 numbers

BPL Ltd's  standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 37.16 crore, registering an increase of 43.3 per cent YoY. 

Its EBITDA for the quarter rose by 161.8 per cent YoY to Rs 3.2 crore, with a corresponding margin expansion of 392 bps. The EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 8.7 per cent. This margin expansion was aided by lower input cost in proportion to sales. 

The company witnessed significant jump in its bottomline to Rs 3.33 crore, from merely Rs. 0.2 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. 

BPL Ltd is engaged in printed circuits board (PCB) business and e-commerce business. The company operates in the electronic industry segment. The company is engaged in manufacturing of single sided PCBs. The company is also engaged in manufacturing and trading of consumer durable goods, such as colour televisions, washing machines, refrigerators, microwave ovens, computer monitors and other home appliance products. The company offers its products under various categories, such as consumer products, medical technology, telecommunication, home automation, surveillance and lighting solutions. 

Today, the stock of BPL remained volatile ahead of its quarterly results and closed in the red at Rs 99.85, down by 2.8 per cent from the previous close of Rs  102.7.
