BHEL gains 2 per cent on order win

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) secures two Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) orders for setting up SPV plants with a cumulative capacity of 200 MW.

The orders are amounting to Rs. 800 crore and have been secured from NTPC Limited and Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd (GSECL).

With this order win, BHEL’s Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) portfolio has surpassed 1 GW capacity.

Significantly, the NTPC order consists of setting up India's largest floating SPV plant of 100 MW capacity at NTPC Ramagundam in Telangana. Whereas GSECL order involves setting up a 100 MW ground-mounted SPV plant at Raghanesda Ultra Mega Solar Park, district Banaskantha in Gujarat.

BHEL is India’s largest engineering and manufacturing company of its kind. It is a power plant equipment manufacturer and operates as an engineering and manufacturing company.

At 11:09 hours, the stock of Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) was trading at Rs. 68.95, up by 0.35 points or 0.51 per cent from its previous closing of Rs. 68.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 69.80 per share and has touched a high and low of Rs. 69.90 and Rs. 68.70 respectively. The stock has hit 52-week high of Rs. 83.25 on September 7, 2018 and a 52-week low of Rs. 56.25 on February 5, 2019.
