BHEL commissions third 250 MW plant in Nabinagar

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL), Maharatna CPSE, commissioned a thermal power plant in Bihar. The plant is a 250 MW coal-based unit, informed the company in a filing to the bourses.

 

The company successfully commissioned the 250 MW coal-based thermal power plant (TPP) in Bihar. The unit has been commissioned at the greenfield 4x250 MW Nabinagar Thermal Power Project, being set up by Bharatiya Rail Bijlee Company (BRBCL), a joint venture of NTPC and the Indian Railways. This is the third 250 MW unit commissioned by BHEL at Nabinagar in the Aurangabad district of Bihar. The first two units are already under commercial operation and the fourth unit is in an advanced stage of execution.

 

BHEL is India’s largest engineering and manufacturing company of its kind. It is a power plant equipment manufacturer and operates as an engineering and manufacturing company.

 

Stock ended Friday's trading session at Rs. 63.60 per share, higher by 1.19% on BSE. While the benchmark index BSE Sensex closed 27 points down at 35,871.
