Bharat Dynamics gains on launching Dishani & Garudastra

One of India's manufacturers of ammunitions and missile systems, Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) announced during the weekend that it has launched two new products at Aero India 2021 namely, ‘Dishani’ and ‘Garudastra’. 

BDL is a development partner to NSTL and DRDO, which designed & developed Garudastra, an advanced anti-submarine self-guided state-of-the-art homing torpedo. Additionally, Dishani is designed & developed by NPOL, DRDO with BDL as a development partner. 

The company is engaged in manufacturing base for guided missiles and allied defence equipment. It is one of the leading defence PSUs in India engaged in the manufacture of surface-to-air-missiles (SAMs), anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), underwater weapons, launchers, countermeasures, and test equipment. 

Location-wise, the company’s 94 per cent of the revenue comes from the domestic market while 6 per cent comes from the exports. 

At 2.28 pm on Monday, its share was trading 1.11 per cent higher at Rs 341.50. It recorded an intraday high of Rs 344.50 and an intraday low of Rs 339.30 on BSE.
