Best equity category MF performers of FY19

The equity market in the year FY19 remained quite volatile. While it started on a good note after witnessing a fall in the far end of FY18, it fell sharply in the month of September and October 2018. After witnessing year's low in the month of November, they once again started their uptrend leading the Sensex to new lifetime highs.

 

Nonetheless, the broader indices remained under pressure and did not perform in accordance to the frontline indices.

 

All this gets reflected in the performance of the equity-dedicated mutual funds in year FY19. In terms of market cap, large-cap-dedicated funds remained the best performer followed by large and& mid-cap. Nonetheless, the winner is sectoral funds that outperformed all other categories of funds. Following table shows the top average performance of the equity-dedicated funds for FY19.
