Bajaj Auto revenue increases 16 per cent in Q3

Bajaj Auto reported its results for the quarter ended December 31, 2018 on Wednesday during market hours. The company's standalone revenue for the quarter came in at Rs. 7,409.36 crore as against Rs. 6,387.64 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering 16 per cent YoY increase. 
  
The EBITDA for the quarter fell by 7.5 per cent YoY to Rs. 1,155.35 crore as against Rs. 1,248.91 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, with a corresponding margin contraction of 396 bps. EBITDA margin for the quarter stood at 15.6 per cent. The PAT for the quarter came in at Rs. 1,220.77 crore as against Rs. 1,013.16 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, YoY increase of 20.5%.

During the quarter, the company has witnessed 26 per cent YoY rise in total volumes at 12,59,828 units. Its domestic sales increased by 28 per cent YoY to 7,35,111 units and exports increased by 23 per cent YoY to 5,24,717 units. It has registered 38 per cent YoY rise in the sale of motorcycles domestically and 23 per cent YoY rise in exports.

The company gained market share to reached 20.3 per cent in this quarter from 16.3 per cent in Q3FY18. Under the CV segment, it sold 91,000 units and maintained a market share of 55.2 per cent.

Today, the stock of Bajaj Auto opened at Rs. 2,594 and made an intraday high and low of Rs. 2,651.45 and Rs. 2,483.95 on the BSE. The stock had hit its 52-week high of Rs. 3,472.60 on February 2, 2018 and its 52-week low of Rs. 2,425 on October 25, 2018 on the BSE.
