Auto Sector Stocks

I am a regular reader of DSIJ and have benefited immensely because of your sound advice. Auto companies results have been soft in the latest quarter. Is this sector good for the long term?

Thank you for writing to us. It is true that the auto sector has witnessed a soft recent quarter. However, the sector is good for the long term as market penetration in India remains low. The growing incomes, young population with high aspirations and improving infrastructure, combined with low oil prices means that the sector looks good for the long term. Keep writing to us.
