The commodities market today is advanced, using various financial instruments such as derivatives, futures, options, swaps, etc. In India, there are six commodity exchanges, the most prominent ones being the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange (NCDEX) and the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
