Atul Auto rises on the back of marvellous December sales

The shares of Atul auto rallied as the company reported its December sales number.

Atul Auto's total vehicle sales came in at 4,332 units in December against 2,890 units sold in the corresponding month of the previous fiscal. The company thus witnessed a jump of 50 per cent in December 2018 on a year-on-year basis. Taking into consideration the total sales since the month of April 2018, there is an expansion of 21.4 per cent at 37,767 units sold until December 2018 against 31,120 units sold in the same period of the previous year. The other Auto sector companies have however posted mixed results. 

The company’s stellar performance could be credited to its deeper penetration in the domestic market and efforts put in for exploring the overseas market. Not only has the company introduced e-vehicles in the potential domestic market but also developed various applications and upgraded several existing products. 

The stocks of Atul Auto opened at Rs. 357 per share against Tuesday’s close of Rs. 348 per share on the BSE. The stocks at 15:01 hours was trading at Rs. 362.50, up by 4.11 per cent and reached an intraday high of Rs. 370 and an intraday low of Rs. 355.05. The stock's 52-week high was Rs. 474 and 52-week low was Rs. 266.96 per share. Meanwhile, BSE Sensex was at 35,945.68 level, down by 0.83 per cent.
