Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 64 points or 0.10 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 60,384.76, signifying gains of 31.49 points or 0.05 per cent.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were trading flat, power strengthened by 0.1 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.18 per cent.

Meanwhile, Jindal Worldwide Ltd, IDBI Bank Ltd and Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring IDBI Bank Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.

Jindal Worldwide Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 4.32 per cent to trade at Rs 460 apiece.

IDBI Bank Ltd, an S&P BSE 200 company, rallied 3.93 per cent to trade at Rs 56.90 apiece. Yesterday, the bank disclosed an application made by the central government for reclassification of its holding as 'public' in the bank, post strategic disinvestment.

Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 3.77 per cent to trade at Rs 2168.95 apiece.
