Are mutual funds betting on media and communication sector?
Which are the sectors on which mutual funds are betting on? To find an answer, we look at the net buying and selling by the mutual fund in Q1FY20. What we find is the media and telecommunication was the sector in which there was the highest buying done by mutual funds. Mutual funds net buying was around Rs. 1,195.89 crore in media and telecommunication sector followed by healthcare, construction and FMCG sectors with net buying of around Rs. 1,030.71 crore, 943.08 crore and 914.42 crore, respectively. On the other end, the energy sector was the one who witnessed the highest net selling of around Rs. 2,163.75 crore in Q1FY20.
