Amid volatile markets, these stocks saw heavy demand from investors in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, S&P BSE Sensex opened in red today at a loss of 108.71 points or 0.20 per cent. By 9.15 am, this loss was extended to 303.04 points or 0.55 per cent.   

A similar trend was observed on the sectoral front, wherein the majority of the indices were trading in the red. Metals got hammered by 0.53 per cent while power was struck by 0.23 per cent in contrast to the oil & gas index, which was propelled by around 0.4 per cent.   

Meanwhile, SH Kelkar & CompanyFDC Ltd, and Repco Home Finance emerged as the Top Gainers in the pre-opening session. The cause of the rally in the share prices of these companies is unclear as no major announcements have been made by them lately.   

SH Kelkar & Company Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 5.94 per cent to trade at Rs 137.40 apiece. This Group A company is engaged in the fragrance manufacturing business.   

FDC Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 4.51 per cent to trade at Rs 253.60 apiece. This pharmaceutical company is in the manufacturing & marketing of oral rehydration salts (ORS) and ophthalmics.   

Repco Home Finance Ltd, another &P BSE Smallcap company, gained 4.39 per cent to trade at Rs 146.40 apiece. This company is an Indian banking & financial services company based in Chennai.
