5 fund houses that gave best returns

Being a mutual fund investor, there are many things one has to look upon before committing funds. One of them being the overall performance of fund houses or Asset Management Companies.

In India there are around 40 AMCs which offer more than 11,000 different schemes to investors. So it becomes very critical to select fund house with appropriate schemes. To help investors we have analysed the 162 equity schemes of 15 largest fund houses and took an average return of each scheme to form an average return of each category. By the analysis of 15 largest fund houses according to their AUM, we compare each category with each scheme. Returns are considered for 5 years with a longer-term investment perspective. Our data analysis show that the below mentioned fund houses have garnered good returns in the longer term (5 years).

                              

Above mentioned 5 fund houses forms around 27 per cent of the assets among the top 15 fund houses investing in pure equity funds. Further to deepen our analysis, we have gone through the offerings of these fund houses, that is, schemes offered by them under various categories. According to the analysis of the different schemes within the above mentioned top performing fund houses below mentioned categories have reaped the highest average returns.
