Shares Below Rs 100: Only Buyers Were Seen In These Stocks, Locked in Upper Circuit Today

As of January 15, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.24 lakh crore or USD 4.9 trillion.

The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty-50 indices are trading in the green on Wednesday with the Sensex up 0.29 per cent at 76,724 and the Nifty-50 up 0.16 per cent at 23,213. About 2,150 shares have advanced, 1,806 shares have declined and 108 shares were unchanged on BSE. The BSE Sensex Index made a new 52-week high of 85,978.25 on September 27, 2024 and the NSE Nifty-50 Index made a new 52-week high of 26,277.35 on September 27, 2024.

The broader markets were in the green territory, with the BSE Mid-Cap Index up 0.11 per cent and the BSE Small-Cap Index up 0.34 per cent. The top mid-cap gainers were Thermax Ltd, The Phoenix Mills Ltd and L&T Finance Ltd. In contrast, the top small-cap gainers are Benares Hotels Ltd, Newgen Software Technologies Ltd and Sangam (India) Ltd.

On the sectoral front, the indices trading mixed with the BSE Utilities Index and BSE Power Index were the Top Gainers while the BSE Healthcare Index and BSE Auto Index were the Top Losers.

As of January 15, 2025, the market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies was approximately Rs 4.24 lakh crore or USD 4.9 trillion. On the same day, 87 stocks hit a 52-week high, while 100 stocks touched a 52-week low.
