With tourism boom in India: Lemon Tree Hotels debuts in Jharkhand!

The stock has experienced significant buying activity, yielding returns of more than 57 per cent in the last one year.

Today, the shares of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited plunged by 0.82 per cent. The company's current market capitalization standing at Rs 11,487.57 crore.

Stock performance:

On Tuesday, the stock opened at Rs 148.80, with the previous closing being Rs 146.75. The 52-week high and low are Rs 158.05 and Rs 90.15, respectively as per BSE.

Recent Development:

Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has announced the opening of Lemon Tree Hotel, Centre Point, in Jamshedpur, according to the company's Chief Business Officer. This managed hotel is the group's first property in Jharkhand.

The hotel features 42 well-appointed rooms, Slounge – a trendy recreation bar, Republic of Noodles – the award-winning Pan-Asian restaurant, a banquet hall, a fully equipped fitness center, and other public areas.

Jamshedpur, founded by Jamshetji Tata, is home to the conglomerate’s two major arms – Tata Steel and Tata Motors. It is Jharkhand’s largest city and its central area has a vibrant financial and business district. The city's private clubs offer activities such as golf, tennis, squash, billiards, horse riding, and water scootering. Jamshedpur Football Club, an Indian Super League professional football team, is based in the city and owned by Tata Steel. Jamshedpur is well-connected to other parts of India through national and state highways.

It operates in the upscale and mid-priced sectors, covering the upper-midscale, midscale, and economy segments. The company offers differentiated yet superior service offerings, providing a value-for-money proposition.

Business development:

In product-wise revenue breakdown: Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd's revenue is primarily driven by room rent, which accounts for 77.38 per cent of the total income. Food and beverage sales contribute 11.31 per cent, while alcohol sales add 1.23 per cent. Banquet income makes up 0.53 per cent and other sources of revenue account for 9.55 per cent.

Furthermore, in terms of location, Mumbai contributes 23.49 per cent of the total revenue, followed by Delhi at 14.27 per cent, Hyderabad at 13.72 per cent, Bengaluru at 9.67 per cent, Gurugram at 8.38 per cent, and Pune at 6.09 per cent. Other locations collectively contribute 24.38 per cent to the overall revenue.
