As global markets declined on Tuesday, Sensex and Nifty 50 opened with a gap-down. For domestic indications, investors awaited more corporate profits from Indian corporations. The shares of Surya Roshni and Nucleus software are trading with upside gains of 4.5 per cent & 9 per cent, respectively. Also, the shares of Tube Investments of India Ltd touched an all-time high during today’s trading session. The company will also give a dividend on July 20, 2022, of Rs 1.5 per share.  

BSE Sensex opened in the green territory, gaining 105 points at a level of 54,626 at 10.52 am. BSE Midcap index jumped 131 points and trades at 23,326 levels. Similarly, the BSE Smallcap index increased 184 points to trade at 26,321 levels. Sensex Top Gainers include Tata Steel (1.65 per cent), UltraTech Cement (1.39 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (1.39 per cent), Axis Bank (1.29 per cent), and Bharti Airtel (0.92 per cent).   

Nifty index continued its upward journey by rising 27 points to 16,305 levels. Bank Nifty too surged 129 points to trade at 35,488 levels. The top gaining indices on Nifty are auto, PSU banks, metal, and realty gaining more than 0.75 per cent each. On the other hand, FMCG and oil & gas are trading in red today.  

Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) bought shares worth Rs 156.08 crore on July 18 while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 844.3 crore.
