Watch out for these low-priced stocks which made a fresh 52-week high on Thursday!
At 1 pm Thursday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading lower for the second day. The Sensex was at 58,645.72 down by 142.30 points or 0.24 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,522.60 down by 40.65 points or 0.23 per cent from the last trading session.
The top gainers of Nifty 50 are Hindalco, Divis Laboratories, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, and ONGC. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index include Hero MotoCorp, Eicher Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bajaj Auto, and HDFC Life Insurance Company.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 29,808.65, down by 0.10 per cent. The top five gainers are Ambika Cotton Mills, MAS Financial Services, Nahar Poly Films, Jindal Drilling and Industries, and Century Enka. Each of these stocks gained more than 10 per cent. Similarly, the top five stocks pulling the index down include Jubilant industries, Venky’s, Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri, Grindwell Norton, and Welspun India.
Almost all the sectoral indices on the BSE are trading flat, with only BSE Metal and BSE Basic material being up by more than 1 per cent.
