US Rate Cuts Spark Highs and Lows in Indian Markets

Buy the rumour, sell the news" is a wellknown mantra in the trading world, and that’s exactly what we saw on D-Street this Thursday. The Indian benchmark indices started on a high note, buoyed by the US Federal Reserve’s Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) decision to kick off a new monetary easing cycle with a hefty 50 basis point rate cut. This marks the first rate cut since March 2020, following a 14-month pause in policy changes.
