Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 7.01 points or 0.01 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 74,163.62, signifying a loss of 176.47 points or 0.24 per cent over its previous closing.

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals remained flat, power dropped by 0.06 per cent and auto slipped by 0.10 per cent.

Meanwhile, Akzo Nobel India Ltd, PTC Industries Ltd, and Elecon Engineering Company Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.

Akzo Nobel India Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 5.76 per cent to trade at Rs 3,450.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces. 

PTC Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, jumped 4.68 per cent to trade at Rs 12,450.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces. 

Elecon Engineering Company Ltd, an S&P BSE company, gained 4.63 per cent to trade at Rs 443.90 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
