At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 410.53 points or 0.55 per cent. By 9.17 am, the index stood at 73,922.73, signifying a gain of 689.70 points or 0.92 per cent over its previous closing.
