At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in the green with a gain of 148.33 points or 0.19 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 80,066.19 signifying a gain of 105.81 points or 0.13 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals soared by 0.78 per cent, power jumped 0.43 and auto rose by 0.52 per cent.
