Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 426.89 points or 0.60 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,115.73 signifying a gain of 394.55 points or 0.55 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, IT rose by 2.30 per cent, teck gained 2.01 and realty rose by 1.08 per cent.
Meanwhile, TVS Holdings Ltd, H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd and Infosys Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
TVS Holdings Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.31 per cent to trade at Rs 8648.35 apiece. The company’s subsidiary, Emerald Haven Realty Limited, has successfully acquired an additional 8.23 per cent stake in Emerald Haven Town and Country Private Limited, increasing the company's shareholding from 85.44 per cent to 93.67 per cent on a fully diluted basis, following the purchase of 55,00,000 Optionally Convertible Redeemable Preference Shares from ASK Real Estate Special Opp. Fund II on 10th January 2024.
H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd rallied 5.82 per cent to trade at Rs 937.70 apiece. as been declared as L-l bidder by Central Railway for the project “Construction of New BG Line Between Dhule (Borvihir) to Nardana (Approx. 49.45 Km) of Central Railway” worth Rs 740.54 crore.
Infosys Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 4.08 per cent to trade at Rs 1556.00 apiece. Company has announced its financial result for December quarter of FY2024.
