These ten stocks are trading close to their 52-week high
52-week high refers to the highest market price of a given stock over a one year period.
Domestic equity bourses continued their downward spiral for the fifth consecutive session, with the Sensex tumbling 1,018 points to close at 76,294, while the Nifty plunged 310 points to 23,072.
The selling pressure wiped off nearly RS 10 lakh crore in market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies, pushing broader indices closer to correction territory. The midcap index has now shed 17 per cent from its all-time high, while both midcap and Small-Cap indices have declined 6 per cent in just two days.
The markets saw widespread selling across sectors, triggered by escalating fears over global trade disruptions following U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff threats.
Sectoral indices were uniformly negative, with consumer durables, capital goods, IT, oil & gas, healthcare, power, PSU, realty, and telecom declining between 1 and 3 per cent.
The day’s session was a stark reminder of the market’s vulnerability to external shocks. With global trade tensions simmering and domestic regulatory changes looming, investors will be keenly watching whether the Nifty can defend 22,900 and stabilize in the sessions ahead.
