Tuesday's opening of the Indian equity indices Sensex and Nifty50 was bearish.

On Thursday, the Sensex fell by 139 points to close at 59,605.80, while the Nifty 50 dropped by marginal 274 points to close at 17,511.25

On Tuesday, the Sensex gained by 600 points to close at 61,032.26, while the Nifty 50 gained by 158 points to close at 17,929.85

On Tuesday, the Sensex dipped by 220.86 points to close at 60,286.04, while the Nifty 50 decreased by 43.10 points to close at 17,721.50

On Thursday, the Sensex gained by 224.16 points to close at 59,932.24, while the Nifty 50 marginally dropped 5 points to close at 17,610.40

On the day of the Union Budget 2023, the Sensex gained by 49.49 points to close at 59,708.08, while the Nifty 50 slipped by 45.85 points to close at 17,616.30

On Friday, the Sensex declined by 236.66 points to close at 60,621.77, while the Nifty 50 slipped 80.20 points to close at 18,027.65

Among the Nifty gainers were IndusInd Bank, Adani Enterprises, Tata Steel, Eicher Motors and Infosys

On Thursday, the Sensex tanked 304.18 points to close at 60, 353.27, while the Nifty 50 dropped 50.80 points to close at 17,992.15. Among the Nifty gainers were Hero Motorcop, Cipla, NTPC, ITC and JSW Steel, while, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, ICICI Bank, Titan Company and Infosys were among the top losers. 

Nifty and Sensex managed to put up minor gains ahead of Diwali weekend. The benchmark index closed at 17,576 while Sensex gained 100 points.

The benchmark indices i.e. NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex 30 managed to recover from their early gap-down openings and closed in green. Nifty jumped 0.30 per cent while Sensex gained nearly 100 points.
