The domestic markets maintained a positive momentum through the trading session supported by optimistic global cues and a few domestic factors which caused a rally in realty, automobile and banking stocks. Sensex ended 379.43 points or 0.64 per cent up at 59,842.21 while Nifty settled 127.10 points or 0.72 per cent up at 17,825.30 level.

On Monday, the equity markets ended an extremely volatile trading session closing in red for the fourth consecutive session due to the ongoing Ukraine-Russia situation. Media and metal stocks witnessed profit booking at higher levels while some buying interest was seen in banking and financial stocks.

At 1.30 pm on Monday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading marginally higher since the morning session. The Sensex was trading at 57,824, down by 172.68 points or 0.30 per cent, while Nifty was at 17,283.80 down by 38.40 points or 0.22 per cent from the last trading session.

Linde India Limited gained more than 8 per cent 

Linde India Limited, a subsidiary of BOC Group, UK, is primarily engaged in the manufacture of industrial and medical gases and the construction of cryogenic and non-cryogenic air separation plants. The share price of the company has jumped 8.55 per cent in the first half of today's trading session. Linde India Limited has entered into a 15-year agreement with ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta group company recently, for the supply of 800 MT per day of oxygen and 900 MT per day nitrogen. The company has given 119.49 per cent returns in the last one year.
