The Indian equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 began the week with slight losses on Monday, as global markets reacted negatively to the closure of US-based SVB Financial Group.

The S&P BSE Mid-Cap is trading flat in red, down by 210 points and is currently trading at a level of 24,578, whereas, the Small-Cap index plunged by 140 points to trade at a level of 27,977 points. 

While the broader NSE index NIFTY50 fell by 61 points, to 17,693 levels, the Bank Nifty is currently trading at a level of 41,528 falling by 48 points. 

As investors resumed trading after the Holi holiday, the Indian market indices, Sensex and Nifty50 dipped on Wednesday.

The Sensex rose beyond 60,100 mark in morning session; the Nifty on other hand moved with modest decline. Stocks in banks and financial services rose, while selling pressure was seen in shares of metal, oil & gas and real estate

On Thursday, the leading indices saw very slight losses. After reaching the day's high of 17,653.90 in morning session, the Nifty fell below the 17,550 levels.

The Co holds significant investments in Equity Shares of various diversified companies like Century Textiles and Industries Limited, Grasim Industries Limited, Hindalco Industries Limited, UltraTech Cement Limited, Vodafone Idea Limited, Birla Tyres, Kesoram Industries Limited etc. Along with this the company has many prime properties.  

 Information technology, healthcare and realty stocks saw a decline whereas PSU Banks, media stocks witnessed a buying demand. 

There was no signal that the rate hike cycle is coming to an end from the RBI governor.
