Sundaram Flexi Cap Fund NFO garners Rs 1679 crore
Sundaram Mutual Management, the asset manager of Sundaram Asset Management Company completed the NFO of Sundaram Flexi Cap fund.
Sundaram Flexi Cap fund has collected Rs 1679 crore, making its NFO the second largest collection in 25 years of Sundaram Mutual history.
Its product video has received almost 19 million views. Throughout the NFO, 1.5 million people visited the Sundaram website as well. This resulted in half of its collections. The fund has more than 70000 investors attributable to 5800 distributors and a variety of digital ways.
Sundaram Flexi Cap is an open-ended equity scheme with the ability to invest across sectors in large, mid and Small-Cap stocks. The fund is well-positioned to increase allocation to Large-Caps during times of uncertainty and at the same time, benefit from the growth potential of mid and small-caps during market uptrends.
Currently, the weighted average returns of flexi cap schemes for 2 years is 27.4 per cent with a volatility of 12-14 per cent.
Sunil Subramaniam, Managing Director, Sundaram Mutual said, “The fund will aim to live up to its tagline of 'Optimizing Opportunities' by seeking to manage the risk-reward trade-off in the investors’ favour and deliver appropriate wealth creation over the medium term”.
The fund will be managed by Sudhir Kedia - Fund Manager – Equity and Ravi Gopalakrishnan, CIO - Equity. The benchmark chosen is the Nifty 500 TRI Index.
Sundaram Asset Management Company, a significant player in the fund management space along with its subsidiaries, has assets under management of about Rs 54,840 crore as on August 31, 2022.
