Thanks to significant gains in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and information technology sectors, Indian frontline indices rose sharply and erased all of the session's early losses to trade higher. The BSE Sensex gained 0.12 per cent to 65,401 level at the close. The Nifty 50 index edged up by 0.03 per cent to a level of 19,434.

Skipper Ltd - After the company announced a robust quarter performance, shares of Skipper Ltd, the top BSE Smallcap gainer on Monday, attracted heavy buying interest and were locked in at a 20 per cent upper circuit. It reported a 33 per cent year-on-year growth in revenue, while net profit surged by leaps and bounds from a loss of Rs 0.65 crore to profit of Rs 16.25 crore.

Cochin Shipyard Ltd - Being one of the top price movers, shares of the company climbed more than 6 per cent on an increase in trading volume following the announcement of a strong quarter in which net profit skyrocketed by a noteworthy 133 per cent year-on-year.

Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation - IRCTC inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to provide DMRC tickets with QR codes on the IRCTC Platform. This innovative idea is expected to benefit both IRCTC and DMRC passengers by improving the travel experience and minimizing time spent in station waits.
