Stocks to watch: These small-cap stocks will be in focus tomorrow!

Starteck Finance, Kritika Wires, Esab India, Shanthi Gears, Megastar Foods, De Nora India, Agro Phos India, Hardwyn India, Gokaldas Exports, Vaxtex Cotfab, GSS Infotech, Choice International, Mold-Tek Technologies and Grauer & Weil (India) made a fresh 52-week high today

On Thursday, Indian equity markets staged a decent recovery in the first half of the session after yesterday’s sharp fall post the surprise rate hike by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Nifty 50 and Sensex lost all gains in the second half of the session, closing at 16,68270 and 55,702.23 respectively, marginally up by 0.03 per cent and 0.06 per cent. 

BSE Smallcap index underperformed broader markets closing in the red territory at 27,673.97, down by 0.32 per cent. Top Gainers of the index include Future Consumer, Hikal, Conficence Petroleum India, Esab India and Kamdhenu. Top Losers comprise Techno Electric & Engineering, Morepen Laboratories, Borosil Renewables, Shree Pushkar Chemicals & Fertilizers and Laxmi Organic Industries. 


The following small-cap stocks are likely to be in focus on Friday, May 6, 2022:    

Salzer Electronics – The company has received a patent for its motor protection circuit breaker (MPCB) with an increased air gap. This patent is for a particular design in MPCB. The company happens to be the only Indian manufacturer making this product in the country. Salzer Electronics has received the patent for this invention from the Patent Office, Government of India, for duration of 20 years, ending 2036. 

PSP Projects – The company has announced the receipt of new work order worth Rs 97.28 crore (excluding GST) in the institutional segment. With the receipt of the above order, the total work orders received during the financial year 2022-23 till date amounts to Rs 424.66 crore. 

TARC – The company has announced that it has successfully raised Rs 1,330 crore from pedigreed US-based Bain Capital. The funds were infused by Bain Capital Credit in the form of secured long-term NCDs. The company has utilised part of this newly-infused capital to retire its entire existing debt with multiple domestic lenders. These fresh funds would serve to fund its expansion and also, to maintain the recently-acquired growth momentum.  

52-week high stocks – Starteck Finance, Kritika Wires, Esab India, Shanthi Gears, Megastar Foods, De Nora India, Agro Phos India, Hardwyn India, Gokaldas Exports, Vaxtex Cotfab, GSS Infotech, Choice International, Mold-Tek Technologies and Grauer & Weil (India) made a fresh 52-week high today.
