On Monday, Indian equity markets started the week on a rather weak note with heavy sell-off. Frontline benchmark indices Nifty 50 and Sensex plunged 1.73 per cent and 2.01 per cent respectively, closing at 17,173.70 and 57,166.74.
BSE Small-cap index also closed in the red territory at 29,233.81, down by 1.01 per cent. Top Gainers of the index include Sunflag Iron And Steel Company, Capri Global Capital, Genus Power Infrastructures and Bharat Dynamics. Top Losers comprise Venus Remedies, Alok Industries, KBC Global, Kopran and Tata Elxsi.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers – The company has purchased 11.5 acres of land in the rapidly-developing micro-market of Pimpri, Pune. The land is estimated to have a developable potential of approximately 2 million square feet of saleable area and a gross development value of around Rs 1,700 crore.
Man Infraconstruction – The company has received one more letter of acceptance (LoA) from Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals Private Limited (BMCTPL) for the execution of Phase II works at JNPT Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) being ‘reclamation-construction works’ for Rs 402 crore.
Ratnamani Metals & Tubes – The company has received new domestic and export orders of Rs 308 crore & Rs 30 crore, respectively, aggregating to Rs 338 crore during the last fortnight to be executed within FY 2022-23.
SpiceJet – The airline has added new flights to its schedule including two industry-first flights, new domestic & international flights, and additional frequencies. With the new and additional flights, the company is strengthening its domestic & international network to meet current as well as emerging demands.
