Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on June 1

At 1.30 pm on Wednesday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading flat as compared to the last trading session.

The Asia Pacific markets were also trading flat as China’s PMI index for May contracted for the second consecutive month with Shanghai Composite trading lower by 0.13 per cent and Japan’s Nikkei climbing 0.65 per cent at 27,457.89.    

The US Futures are on the rise, ahead of the first day of June. The 10-year Treasury bond yields are trading at 2.88 per cent whereas the crude oil is trading at $116.29 per barrel, up by 1.41 per cent.  

Sensex was at 55,593.27, up by 26.86 points or 0.05 per cent while Nifty was at 16,579.25, down by 14.05 points or 0.08 per cent from the last trading session.           

On BSE, 1,853 shares have advanced, 1,315 shares declined whereas 136 shares are unchanged.             

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are JSW Steel, NTPC, Coal India, HDFC Life Insurance Company, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Axis Bank. Meanwhile, the Top Losers pulling down the index are Apollo Hospitals, Bajaj Auto, Hindalco Industries, Britannia Industries, and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries.  

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 26,550.86, up by 0.68 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were HBL Power Systems, Timken India, Sharda Motors, Rolex Rings, and RHI Magnesita. Each of these stocks has gained more than 9 per cent. Similarly, the top losers include Precision Wires,Kriti Industries, Future Retail, Ahluwalia Contracts (India), and Brightcom Group.

On the sectoral front, all sectors traded in the red territory with only BSE Metal, BSE Private Bank, BSE Capital Goods, and BSE Energy trading in the green.
