Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on July 13

At 12.30 pm on Wednesday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading marginally higher as shares in the Asia Pacific markets were slightly up. This took place on the back of China releasing its trade data and Bank of Korea as well as Reserve Bank of New Zealand hiking their interest rates by 50 basis points each. 

At 12.30 pm on Wednesday, the headline equity indices, i.e. Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading marginally higher as shares in the Asia Pacific markets were slightly up. This took place on the back of China releasing its trade data and Bank of Korea as well as Reserve Bank of New Zealand hiking their interest rates by 50 basis points each. 

Sensex was at 53,759.70, down by 126.91 points or 0.24 per cent while Nifty 50 was at 16,033.55, down by 24.75 points or 0.15 per cent.  

The US equity indices ended bearish on Tuesday, awaiting the inflation data release due on Wednesday, July 13. Dow Jones index was down by 0.62 per cent whereas the tech-heavy Nasdaq index closed 0.95 per cent lower on the bourses.    

The crude oil price fell and is trading flat at $97.01 per barrel while the US Treasury rates are also flat at 2.97 per cent.  

The Top Gainers in Nifty 50 pack are Hindustan Unilever, JSW Steel, Cipla, Asian Paints, and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Meanwhile, the Top Losers pulling down the index are IndusInd Bank, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, and HCL Technologies.   

BSE Smallcap index is trading at 25,798.87, up by 0.07 per cent. The top gainers in the pack were Parag Milk Foods, CARE Ratings, Balaji Telefilms, KEC International, and Cybertech Systems & Software. Each of these stocks gained more than 9 per cent. Similarly, the top losers were Techno Electric Engineering, Gokaldas Exports, Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy, Sterling Tools, and Kiri Industries.   

On the sectoral front, BSE FMCG, Healthcare, and Metal were in the green territory whereas BSE Utilities, BSE Telecom, BSE Energy, and BSE Power were trading lower by more than a per cent each.
