Stocks below Rs 100: Only buyers seen in these scrips on February 24
At 12.30 pm on Thursday, the core equity indices i.e., Sensex and Nifty 50 were seen extending the losses since their opening, as Russia finally strikes Ukraine and has reportedly destroyed Ukraine airbases. The Sensex was trading at 55,486.52 down by 1740.51 points or 3.04 per cent, while Nifty was at 16,533.60, down by 540.75 points or 3.17 per cent from the last trading session.
On the BSE, 221 shares have advanced, 3061 shares declined, whereas 93 shares are unchanged.
The only gainer in the Nifty 50 pack is Hindalco Industries. Meanwhile, the top five stocks pulling down the index are Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank, Adani Ports, Hero Motocorp, and UPL.
BSE Smallcap index is trading at 25,675.45 down by 4.72 per cent. The top five gainers are Garware Hi-Tech Films, Asahi Songwon Colors Lucky Laminates, Federal-Mogul Goetze, Ultramarine & Pigments, and Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences. Each of these stocks gained more than 12 per cent. Similarly, the top five stocks pulling the index down include SVP Global, Indiabulls Housing Finance Company, Orient Bell, Titagarh Wagons, and KBC Global.
The bear market is finally here, which led to the sectoral indices bleeding out to almost 4 per cent, dragging the market further.
